Kings sign Adam Hose after Tim David’s Australia call-up

Saint Lucia Kings have onboarded explosive English batter Adam Hose as a replacement for Tim David, who has earned his maiden call-up to the Australian team.

Tim David had a fantastic CPL 2022 with the Kings as he played to role of an anchor in the middle overs and even flourished as a finisher. David amassed 85 runs in four innings before he left the Caribbean.

The Aussie also took five catches in his last appearance for the Kings, which is now the joint record for most catches in an innings in the history of CPL.

David’s replacement Adam Hose comes in with a ton of experience in other franchise leagues like Vitality Blast and The Hundred, along with a busy English summer this year.

Adam Hose, who is essentially a top-order batter, has thrived in his role as a finisher too, becoming a like-for-like replacement for Tim David.

“I am elated to be a part of the Saint Lucia Kings squad. I would do my best to make sure we reach the playoffs and get the trophy this time,” an ecstatic Adam Hose said.

Since making his T20 debut in 2015, Hose has racked up 2381 runs in 85 T20 innings at a stellar strike rate of close to 150. The 29-year-old Englishman has two tons to his name in the 20-over format, along with 15 half-centuries.

Adam Hose, an Isle of Wight native, was in impeccable touch in the recently-concluded The Hundred, scoring 182 runs in seven innings at a rate of 160.

Hose can take the field on September 17 when Saint Lucia Kings take on St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
