Match 4 between Saint Lucia Kings vs St Kitts and Nevis Patriots abandoned without a ball being bowled

After the previous game was washed out between Saint Lucia Kings and Amazon Guyana Warriors, early signs weren’t promising in this match either. Regardless of the weather and pitch conditions, the Kings had been in fine form in the tournament and were hoping we could continue our momentum on the pitch.

We have so far won one, lost one, and drawn one out of the three matches played. Three other matches were washed out due to rain and there was hope, we could have a match on our hands.

In the previous match between Saint Lucia Kings and Amazon Warriors, the match was reduced to 5 overs a side but that had to be called off as well, with rains making it impossible to continue. Our fans have been the most patient of them all during the rains, and in what was also our final game of the season at the Darren Sammy Stadium.

The conditions did not improve until the end, and during the final inspection by the umpires and the two captains, the match had to be called off. A no result and both teams walk away with a point each.

That also means the end of the first leg and the teams move on to the next leg of the tournament to St Kitts. Our next opponents are Trinbago Knight Riders whom we play at Warner Park next weekend.
