International American University offers a medical curriculum comparable to U.S.-based medical schools and is designed to help prepare students to practice medicine in the United States and Canada. IAU's mission is "To train future physicians to serve selflessly and humbly, while emphasizing strong medical ethics and appreciation of human worth and dignity" and is chartered and accredited by the Government of Saint Lucia as a comprehensive university with the authority to confer the Doctor of Medicine degree.
